The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across parts of England and Wales, with the potential for heavy rain, hail, lightning and gusts of up to 60mph.
What to expect
The warning is in place from 10am to 10pm on Tuesday, August 15, and covers a large swathe of central, southern and eastern England, as well as parts of Wales.
The Met Office says there is a good chance of flooding in some places, as well as disruption to travel.

The Met Office has urged people to be aware of the risks of thunderstorms and to take precautions to stay safe.

- Be aware of the risks of lightning
- Stay indoors if possible
- If you are caught in a thunderstorm, seek shelter in a sturdy building or in a car
- Do not touch metal objects
